Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pizza dough into 14 equal pieces and roll each piece into 8-inch strips.
- Place a piece of American cheese and a thawed mini meatball at one end of the dough strip, then tightly roll it up and seal the seams.
- In a large pot, bring about 4 cups of water to a gentle boil and stir in ¼ cup of baking soda until dissolved. Boil each bomb for 20-30 seconds.
- Remove the bombs with a slotted spoon, place on the baking sheet, and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm with yellow mustard for dipping.
