  • 4 pieces Italian sub rolls or hoagie rolls or ciabatta
For the Butter Mixture
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Fillings
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced salami
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced ham
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced pepperoni
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them hinged.
  3. In a bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Coat the cut sides of each roll with the butter mixture using a pastry brush.
  5. Layer salami, ham, and pepperoni on the rolls, followed by mozzarella and provolone cheese.
  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, then add roasted red peppers, black olives, and banana peppers.
  7. Add fresh basil leaves on top before baking.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bread edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool briefly, then slice the sandwiches into portions and serve warm.
