Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by rinsing the mussels under cold water and discarding any that remain open after tapping. Peel and devein the shrimp.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the white wine, stir, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add cleaned mussels to the skillet, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until they open.
  5. Fold in the shrimp, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Squeeze in lemon juice, add zest, chopped parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra parsley if desired.
