Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped shallot and sauté for about 2–3 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 8–10 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the cooked mushrooms, stirring well for 1 minute to absorb moisture and thicken.
  4. Pour in chicken broth slowly while whisking continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Whisk in half and half gradually, allowing the sauce to simmer for an additional 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste, stirring thoroughly. Simmer for another minute.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, then add chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and add directly to the skillet, tossing over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
