- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lay out your fresh croissants on a clean work surface for easy assembly.
- Spread a generous layer of Dijon mustard on the inner sides of each croissant, then layer in your choice of sliced ham and cheese.
- Carefully close each croissant ensuring the filling stays intact and place them seam side down onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat an egg until smooth, then use a pastry brush to apply a light egg wash over the top of each croissant.
- Slide your baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for about 18 minutes until puffed up and golden brown.
- Once baked, remove and let the croissants cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
