Preparation Steps
  1. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on a clean, flat surface and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly across.
  2. Overlap slices of smoked salmon to form a rectangular sheet about 10 by 6 inches.
  3. Spread whipped cream cheese over the salmon, covering it completely. Sprinkle chopped chives and lemon zest over the cream cheese.
  4. Place thin slices of avocado and cucumber along one long edge of the salmon.
  5. Lift and roll the salmon over the filling, tucking it in tightly as you go. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to seal.
  6. Chill the wrapped roll ups in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the plastic wrap and slice the roll into twelve pieces. Serve immediately or store for later.
