Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 3/4 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter on low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown the garlic.
  3. Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in garlic butter. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, letting it melt and create a creamy sauce.
  4. Slowly add reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, stirring until you achieve desired sauce consistency.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately, topped with more Parmesan and parsley if desired.
