Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Tear day-old croissants into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly across the greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips generously over the torn croissants.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the large eggs, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and slightly frothy.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant pieces and chocolate chips, then gently tap the dish on the counter.
  6. Gently press down on the croissant pieces to help them soak up the custard and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  7. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before slicing and serving warm.
