Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef can be swapped with ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning using a premium brand is recommended
  • 10 ounces diced tomatoes and green chiles canned and undrained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese aged for more depth or use Monterey Jack
  • 8 ounces ranch dressing spicy ranch can be a substitute
For the Shell
  • 15 pieces phyllo tart shells mini pie crusts or wonton wrappers can also be used

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in 1 ounce of taco seasoning and 10 ounces of diced tomatoes and green chiles. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese with 8 ounces of ranch dressing in a large bowl. Mix until creamy, then fold in the beef mixture.
  5. Fill each of the 15 phyllo tart shells with the mixture and arrange on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
