- In a large pot, set over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly but not browned.
- Add the chopped onion, stirring occasionally until translucent, about 4–5 minutes. Then add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth while stirring gently, increase heat slightly to bring to a simmer.
- Add crab meat and shrimp, cooking for about 3–5 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and warm through for 2–3 minutes.
