Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse a 1-quart heatproof pitcher with hot water to sterilize. Allow excess water to drip out.
  2. Distribute 2 tablespoons of dried culinary lavender evenly at the bottom of an infuser. Add 2 teaspoons of black tea leaves.
  3. Heat 4 cups of water to 195–205°F. Pour the hot water over the tea-lavender mixture in the infuser. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the infuser. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup until dissolved.
  5. Let the tea cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 75 minutes.
  6. Serve over ice cubes with a slice of lemon and garnish with a fresh lavender sprig if desired.
