  3. In a large cast iron skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter over medium-high heat. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, melt an additional 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice to the garlic butter, season with salt and pepper, and allow the sauce to bubble gently for a minute. Serve scallops drizzled with the sauce and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
