Step-by-Step Instructions for Miso Butter Salmon
  1. Make the Miso Butter by mixing softened unsalted butter, white miso paste, brown sugar, freshly grated ginger, and minced garlic in a bowl until creamy.
  2. Prepare the Salmon by preheating your oven to 375°F or air fryer to 400°F. Line baking dish with parchment paper, pat salmon dry, and spread an even layer of miso butter over each fillet.
  3. For Cooking in the Oven, place salmon fillets in preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until opaque and flakes easily with a fork, optionally broiling for 1-2 minutes at the end.
  4. For Cooking in the Air Fryer, place coated salmon in preheated basket and cook for approximately 9-10 minutes without flipping until opaque and flakes easily.
  5. Serve and Garnish by removing the salmon from the oven or air fryer, drizzling with remaining miso butter, and garnishing with freshly sliced green onions.
