Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three 9-inch round cake pans by greasing or lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until no clumps remain.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then gradually incorporate into the dry mixture.
  4. Divide the batter into three bowls; fold in melted chocolate in one, strawberry puree in another, and leave the last as vanilla.
  5. Pour each flavored batter into its prepared cake pans, filling evenly and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. After baking, cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Once cool, layer the cakes starting with the vanilla, adding frosting, then the strawberry layer, more frosting, and finally the chocolate layer.
