  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs Cilantro or parsley can enhance flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds Optional; toast them lightly for more flavor.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Skillet

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and orange zest to create a fragrant marinade. Add the cleaned baby octopus and coat well. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil. Once hot, toss in broccolini and sauté for about 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, raise the heat to high and add marinated baby octopus with the marinade. Sear for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally until just cooked through.
  4. Add sautéed broccolini back into the skillet with octopus. Toss gently and sprinkle chili flakes. Squeeze fresh orange juice over the mixture.
  5. Transfer the Citrus-Spiced Baby Octopus with Crunchy Broccolini to a serving platter. Drizzle with dressing and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
